Amazing New Xbox 360 Motion Sensor Controller

Microsoft just showed off its new controller at E3 ...

Microsoft has unveiled its new control system for the Xbox 360 console, at E3 in Los Angeles.

Project Natal is a fully hands-free control system that will use face recognition and motion sensors to allow users to play games.

Film director Steven Spielberg, attending the launch, said it was "a window into what the future holds".

Although still in the early stages, Microsoft has sent prototypes to all the main game developers.

Speaking to the BBC, Mr Spielberg said he had always stated that "the main barrier stopping people getting into video games was the complexity of a games controller," and that Natal was "a whole new world".

"There is technology now that recognises not just your thumb, it recognises your entire person. The technology knows who you are," he said.

Mr Spielberg drew an analogy with the film industry, saying it was evolutionary step for games.

"It's like the square screen we saw all of our movies on in the early 1950s. Then The Robe came out in Cinemascope. And then came CinRam and Imax followed. That's what [Natal] is.

Oh my god, this new controller is amazing! We are having Minority Report technology before the year 2054! Why did I sell my Xbox 360!! I think I'm going to buy another Xbox 360 when this comes out. With future controllers all requiring you to move your body, I think gamers will become healthier in the future.

Healthy Gaming is in. No more overweight gamers!!

P.S: I wonder if the voice recognition system recognizes my Singlish accent. I have to try to slang when I tried to say/type out the words on Microsoft Word heh.

Okay I lied ... actually I was not randomly surfing. I have been visiting that site ever since I entered the Omy Singapore Blog Awards shamelessly hoping that by a stroke of luck my blog will be in one of the post. I entered the "Best What-The-Hell" and "Best Individual Blog" category and thought that it would be cool that my blog would appear in one of the posts. So after I entered, I visit the site every day. First they showed the "Best Individual Blog - They have Joined" - don't see any boliaosia.com. Then they showed the "Best What-The-Hell Blog - They have joined" - no luck either. Then they had another "Best Individual Blog - They have joined" - nothing again ha ha. So I thought hopeless la, won't appear one la Sean.

After a few posts with news related stuff and not featuring blogs which entered, I thought it was over. One of the posts was about bloggers posting subjective photos in bid to win the Singapore Blog Awards.

I saw that post and thought, wha they all have nice sexy pictures to post and I am some unfit fat ass guy how to compete ha ha. The girls in my first and second pic are hot! Even I won't think twice about visiting if I see the pictures. I thought my dream of my blog being in one of the posts, were just going to be just a dream until I saw yesterday's post =) Wooo Hoooo finally I'm there! It may not mean a lot to others, but for me it's a sense of achievement ha ha, maybe I will get some visits from that site too. Playing Hide and Seek with The Car Park Attendant

For quite some time, it has been peaceful. No person in white patrolling around the car park at my HDB block I am staying at after a certain timing. It was relatively safe for those who had not bought a season parking ticket, only being caught once in awhile. Until one day, maybe because of this economic crisis the once safe haven that is my block’s car park, is now as dangerous as other car parks around Singapore. Beware! The once feared warrior, the person who could make grown men run for their lives whenever they see them, the car park attendant has arrived! He/she is now ready to catch all the residents who do not display their season parking coupon at night! We knew that this day would come, but we were unprepared for the sneak attacks. Out of a sudden, my father kenna 4 summons/parking offence tickets in 7 days!

Before you think that my father should not be such a cheapskate and should just get the season ticket every month, I would like to attempt to defend him and hope you give him the benefit of the doubt he he. The reason why he doesn’t get a season ticket is because he can’t get one for my block! There are just too many cars and not enough parking lots at my blocks car park (what economic crisis?)! He has tried to apply for a season ticket in the past but they could only give him one at another block which is very far away from my house. It is so inconvenient for him to walk all the way from his car back home every day with his stuff.

So my father decided to experiment. He tried parking at our car park without any season ticket for a few weeks and he realized that it is actually quite safe to park as they do not patrol regularly at night and he gets the ticket once in awhile. It was relatively safe until last week when my father found the parking offence slip 4 times in 7 days. The timing of the tickets was around 1.30am to 2am, so he decided to experiment again. This is when our game of hide and seek began heh. Last Wednesday, my father decided to drive the car out of the car park at 1.15 am and come back 1 hour later to see if the car park attendant will still be patrolling. I accompanied him that night and we went to a 24 hour coffee shop nearby for a drink. After some cock talking at the coffee shop, we wasted more time by going to the petrol kiosk to buy some snacks and drinks. In the end, we wasted around 45 minutes and came back at around 2.00am.

My father then drove around the car park to see if there are any unfortunate victims of having that dreaded piece of paper under their car’s wiper. We found a few unlucky people while driving around and I went to check the timings of the summons. (Sure to see some angry faces in the morning! He he). The funny thing is we saw the car park attendant while driving around! I think the person also noticed us and she seems to recognize my father’s car! She must have been looking for my father’s car while we were out he he. Easy commission for her I guess.

We had no choice but to drive out of the car park and waste some more time and eventually came back around 2.30am. My father then parked at what he thought was the safest place …. Just beside a car which has just been given the parking offence ticket! While walking back to our block, we noticed that the car park attendant was still there! I seriously think that she was waiting for us ha ha. So we waited at the void deck for awhile till the car park attendant went off, or so we though…..

We went home happy, thinking that we have accomplished our mission of escaping the fine. But ……. The next morning my found a parking offence ticket on under his car wiper. The time of the offence is around 2.45am …..

Lol … all the hard work was for nothing, but at least it was a fun adventure.

Lesson of the day: You Don’t Mess With The Car Park Attendant!

P.S: My father has since got the season coupon for the car park far away from our house. I hope that in the future, they will build an extra car park on the empty land beside my block though. There are really too many cars at my block!

Random Awesome and Hilarious Guitar Heroes World Tour Videos of the Week

Since Sean left his Guitar Hero World Tour set at my house, I have been playing it quite a lot when I have the chance to. Usually when I'm alone I play the guitar, it is Guitar Hero after all. I actually played till I spoiled his guitar and ended buying a new guitar for him =( At least now I have my own spoiled guitar which can be only be strummed downwards lol, still very playable though.

Since I'm all Guitar Hero crazy at the moment, this week's random videos will feature Guitar Hero World Tour videos I found ......

Saw the news about the fake star endorsement on The New Paper today and went to find the video he he. The Japanese people pay millions only for a single Hollywood star to appear in an ad, and here you have an ad with 3 superstars!! And guess what ... the cost of getting David Beckham, Sean Connery and Keanu Reeves to star in the commercial is free! Its so easy!! Just take video footage of celebrities cut here and there, put in fake china man voice and subtitles and there you have it, the "USA Selikon" Viagra-styled pills commercial!!! The funnier thing is that the authorities have approved the broadcast in China.

MindWave cured my headaches!

Yesterday I was stuck in my fathers car for more than an hour with no air condition turned on. Did not get out of the car as I'm actually allergic to the sun :( ... if you are in Singapore with no air com on in a car which is not moving, its hell! Because of this and maybe the rather irritating process of looking for floor plans an hour before I got quite a bad headache which even a few sticks of cigs could not cure actually maybe it made it worse lol.

After a while I suddenly thought of the mindwave app I blogged about a few days ago and tried my luck using the headache treatment function and guess what, it actually worked! Coincedently my mother also had a headache that night and immediately I passed her my iPhone with the mindWave app turned on and after around 10 mins she was sleeping soundly with the earphones still in her hears lol. This app really rocks!

I haven't tried the weightloss function yet by the way, been busy these few days ......... watching tv shows!!! So many of my favorite shows are back! Heroes, Chuck, American Idol, 30 Rock, My name is Earl .... they are all back again. Even Survivor is back! Now I just have to wait for the final season of Prison Break to show and my list of must watch tv shows every week is complete he he. Oh ya even Singapore Idol is coming back too, plus Street Fighter 4 coming out soon, Draconica (3d maple story?), Asian dramas etc etc ....... I'm so busyyyyyyy =P


Don't worry I promise I will use the weightloss function soon :)

P.S. I ate dinner again today lol ... I think I can't make Friday a no dinner day, its too tempting to eat when you go out and others are eating. So I guess only Monday to Thursday will be my fruits only dinner days unless I'm at home on Friday.

Blog almost complete - Beckham Freekick

Had to change the template of my blog and redo everything because I can't add in my own picture as the header image. I think my html skills is too shitty. Luckily this template allows me to add in my own picture easily without any problems. Spent the whole day day making the logo and customizing the template. I think I getting addicted to blogging again lol.

FInally Completed all Labeling of Posts!

Oh my god, I actually did it!

I wanted to add labels only for my newer posts but after adding one I felt like making another then it went on and on and eventually I spent the whole day adding labels! I got to read through all my older posts and sort of got a recap of my life from 2005 to 2006 although it feels weird cause I did the opposite sequence meaning I started from the newer post to the oldest. Interesting to see things like knowing and going out with someone in the newer post and knowing how I got to know the person later ... the promises I broken in the newer posts and the time when I made it in the older posts .. the never ending dieting and exercising posts I have which I will continue to update by the way heh... and so on ...

Reading my olders posts made me realize other things too, like having much more Jackie pics in my posts than Kimi pics. Sorry Kimi will put more pics of you in the future. Thanks for accompanying me everyday at home sleeping on your comfortable bed. I also realized that I went out often last time which is quite different from me now. I have become more of a Zai Nan (person who stays at home often).

After reading all my older posts I will do a little more quick recap of changes since the last post. This is for those who read my blog last time and for new readers who have the patience and free time of reading through my older posts.

Changes to my life

1) Now sort of working for father and mother (home based :D) by helping them bridge the digital divide for their businesses.

2) I started smoking quite soon after my last post in 2006. Ooops

3) My dog Jackie has passed away but Kimi is still with me and I love her more than ever

4) I'm still studying (Part-time degree)

5) I have gained more than 10kgs since my last 2006 post. I met my old classmate and he was shocked.

6) Staying at home more than ever. (Which explains why I will definitely have the time to regularly update my blog.

7) Should be not as emo as before

8) Nope I no longer play Maple Story

After the Chinese new year food is gone will start a new dieting plan and will update the progress in the dieting and exercise section. Will explain my Mr. Wu diet plan details later.

Will also explain what each label I just added means and what you can expect to see

Specially for you Kimi

I promise that I will update this blog regularly and for a long long time. Other than my life which older posts mostly featured, I think I will also add more interesting things I come across and other boliao stuff I can think off. Since I started blogging last week I feel more alive now heh, at least I got one more thing to do now during my free time (which its quite a lot). I also started using my phone's camera more often now heh.

Maybe blogging will make a person's life more interesting again?

Feeling rich this Chinese New Year?

Saw these apples at Isetan supermarket when I was doing grocery shopping with my mother yesterday. If you are visiting your relatives' house next week and feeling rich despite the economic downturn maybe you can buy these "Fugi Xin Lian Gao Lar" apples. SGD $38.80!

Going to have reunion dinner tonight. Can't wait to eat the very nice mother's steamboat and use the Grill set thingy that we bought yesterday. Yummy!

The crouch

Oh my god, Peter crouch score hattrick and did his famous dance move yesterday lol, picture in straits times again!!! When he did "the crouch" after scoring his second goal in yesterday's match, I was laughing like a mad man :D ... I think now every England fan will want him to score lol ... he has suddenly become the most famous player in the English team I think :P

Will bathe in 15 mins time and after that will officially start my "study for test" session at 3rd June 2006 3pm. Test will be starting on monday will try my best to score good grades :)

Watched benchwarmers yesterday, erm not really a nice show, funny but not really funny...I give it 3 out of 5 stars. Still haven watch MI3 and Xmen.... sian. Also ate carls junior (correct spelling?) and beef hor fan for dinner!! Super pig man me, seems like all my urge to smoke has been transfered to eating which tallies with the report that people who quit smoking will get fatter :( .... luckily only temporarily (I hope) ...... I think next week I will start my diet session or maybe need to eat those speed dieting pills liao but no money to buy lol.... starting from next next sat I think I will also exercise in sch every sat morning :D ... hope I manage to do what I have just typed. Will make a "I want to be slim" chart after mid sem test and follow the program religiously and return to school after the holidays leaner and meaner hehe.

Yesterday was the first time I stayed at home for the whole day for a long long time.... due to the lack of money and people to go out with, I had no choice but to stay at home.... sian. Don't know when then will get back my money, hopefully tonight can go Alvin's place for a swim, need to spend around $3.20 to go to his house and come back though, must go dig out some money.....

Its a small world after all

Today not as bad as yesterday, but still quite bad. Still at the super hot foyer man. Morning saw someone shoplifting, then the security guard stop him and asked to see his bag...The guy just threw the bag at the guard then ran off LOL, like some movie like that. The guard holding the bag I think got shocked for awhile then he started chasing the guy hehe. I see the man quite old liao if go jail very poorthing, so i decided not to help with the chase even though im closest to the action(actually cant be bordered hehe....weather so hot run very tired le). Sis came n buy some personal item at the main John little store and we had lunch(actually only i eat). Also saw Zhiliang, who was shopping at whitesands(or he come specially to visit me? :D)

Now for something related to the title above.......Just found out that Joyce, my colleague whom i share cab home, is actually the fren of one of the foreign students, Karen, who lived at my house!! She actually came to my house before, i think ar 4 years ago lol.....she found out that we were both linked to this filipino girl through friendster... Wow, friendster is cool man. Then while we were talking abt sharing a cab home, my manager heard it and asked where we stayed. Then we discovered that my manager and me actually live very near each other!!! hahha, so we have a new cab kaki, my manager!!! Really really small man this world LOL
