Due to laziness and lack of timeness, i have decided to import the posts from the blog I made for my wife for our wedding day ( www.iheartwing.com) and concentrate on posting at boliaosia.com. Don't worry Wing, most of the posts will be about you .... I promise!
I have also change the template for boliaosia.com. Still have some adjustments to do ..... when I have the time and feel better .... sick .....
Just collected our wedding pics from Alvin yesterday, hope to post some pics in the future.
A little update on Wing's life ...
Her teeth is now brand new after 3 treatments at Dr. Leong's clinic. No more pain!!
She also celebrated her birthday and our 1 year anniversary last month. Made her a special atm card that can be used weekly by swiping it at my backside. =) Real money will be issued okay!
P.S Like the new blogger changes ... very easy to use now. :)

Our 4 months Anniversary
Today is our 4 months anniversary …. 4 months of not updating you. :( I’m sorry that I have not touched you for exactly 4 months. I have finally have some free time from work and play and now I’m ready to once again update you. I have been too lazy busy that I have not even changed the boliasia.com header .... its still the Christmas edition!! A lot of things have changed since the last time I blogged. I changed job, found someone special, grew a little thinner than a little fatter etc etc ... I’m to lazy to go into details, but I guess you might be that interested anyway ..
Here are some of the picture updates for the past 4 months. Didn't really take much pictures so not many to post pai seh ....
One thing that never changed during these times is my love for Sakae Sushi. I have been going to the outlets every once in awhile with my friends, family, and Miss O. I also order Sakae food delivery every now and then too when I am too lazy to go out. I like the new menu Some interesting new stuff they have there.
Sakae Sushi isn’t the only thing Sakae I ate recently ... I also went to Sakae Teppanyaki a few times and I really like it a lot! All the food I ordered tasted really good and it is really nice to see the food cooked right in front of you by the great chefs. The garlic rice is a must for every visit and if you have cash to spare, please get the foie gras. It is super nice can ....
I will try to blog a little more often in the future, but I think most of my posts will be shorter with less pictures, unless there is some major thing I’m covering. I am no longer that bo liao with nothing to do, but I try my best to update okay? =|

Bye bye iPhone .... Hello HTC Hero
If you have been to this site before, you might have noticed that there were 5 sections on the navigation bar - My Bo Liao Life, Random Videos, Entertainment, News/Articles and iPhone. I have made some changes to it recently. I removed the News/Articles section as I don’t think I would be posting anything on that anymore and replaced it with the Link Exchange link (just click to see how to exchange links!). I also changed another one of the sections …
Enough on blog update, now back to phones!
Before I show you pics of my new HTC Hero, let us all say goodbye to my previous phone … the iPhone 3G.
It’s a really good phone, almost perfect, definitely the best phone I ever owned even though it’s not the 3GS model. However, I wanted to try the android OS, so I had to let it go. I have found a kind and caring Apple lover, Wayne, to take good care of my iPhone 3G. I hope he will have as much fun as me using this baby. I will miss you iPhone 3G.
So bye bye my iPhone ………. and Hello HTC Hero!!!
I bought the white version of the android based HTC Hero after renewing my plan with Starhub. As a Hubclub member, I get to recontract my phone every year so I think it’s certain that you will see me changing my phone every year he he.
I don’t really have any complains with the phone at the moment, it does the things I need it to do.
As you can see in the pics, it has more buttons than the iPhone and a track ball. The extra buttons were a little hard to get used to at first, but after using it for 2 weeks, I am now more comfortable with them. I like the search button. When you press it, the google search box will come and you can easily search for contacts, messages, email, information on the internet etc. Google, the makers of android, is your best friend! The screen is the same type of touch screen as the iPhone (capacitive touch screen), which is one of the main reasons why I switched to this model instead of others. After using the iPhone’s capacitive touch screen for almost a year, I think I cannot go back to using resistive touch screens. I’m sure those who own an iPhone would agree with me. You just can’t get used to the resistive screens after using the finger friendly capacitive screens.
As seen in the screenshots above, the interface is quite different to the iPhone. There are 7 “pages” where you can place your stuff. You can fill the pages up with apps and make it look similar to the iPhone or you can add widgets to make it a little more interesting =). You can also use your own wallpaper. You can add widgets and wallpapers on your iPhone too but you have to jailbreak it, which I think is a little troublesome and it slowed down my iPhone 3G. Maybe the 3GS can handle it better.
You can view all your programs in the programs tab and you can view all your notifications (email, sms & others) by sliding your finger from the top to bottom …. I like! The android os which my HTC Hero is using also has an appstore called the android market. It is not as user friendly and does not contain as much apps as the appstore though. I can’t access the paid apps here in Singapore so I can’t really compare the quality of the apps, but I think the apps on the iPhone should be better heh. They have so many really good games from big name developers at the moment. Maybe android will catch up soon heh. It has enough bo liao apps to keep me entertained though lol.
Anyways, who needs to play with apps when you can watch TV on your phone …
When I go out, I can watch quite a number of Starhub channels with TV on mobile. There are my favourites like all the 3 football channels (football channel, goal tv 1, goal tv2), my father’s favourite CTI TV to see all his Taiwanese variety and political shows and some channels like Animax and the Asian Food Channel which I don’t even have on my cable subscription! There are other channels too. If you are interested you can click here.
A few days ago, when I went out with my father to help him with some work related stuff, I took out my phone and surprised him with the live streaming of the CTI TV channel he he. I used it in the car and while we were waiting for some drawings and had no lag in both situations. =) Being able to watch tv channels on the go really helps to make my father a little more patient when waiting for the drawings.
I will try to play around with my HTC Hero more next time and post some updates. Android 2.0 is coming to Hero soon I think, so I can get to have a new experience soon after using version 1.5 he he.

I'm back!!
I reached hot and humid Singapore on Monday morning and ate Wanton mee in the airport before coming home. The Perth trip was great and I really enjoyed myself there. I took 1000 + photos there and will post them up soon =)
Some things that happened during the week I went missing …
1) I received my degree in Perth
2) Got to know a guy named Kenny (Donald’s gf’s cousin) in Perth who brought us around. Great guy.
More on him and my trip next time.
3) I gained weight due to Kantang (potato) overload
4) I didn’t sweat at all in Perth despite walking under the sun most of the time. My feet hurt though.
My new cheapo boots are not made for walking …. long distances.
5) Realized that my new camera’s battery life is not that fantastic. Extra battery needed for long days.
6) My beloved Newcastle United lost a match, won 1 and lost again (yesterday). They are currently second in the table!!
7) I didn’t attend the Singapore Blog Awards due to my Perth convocation/holiday trip and as expected didn’t win.
Jasmine went with boyfriend to the event on my behalf and took lots of pics there. I will upload them once I manage to get the pics from her. Congratulations to all the winners, especially Ms Chor Lor who once gave me winning 4D numbers. =P (To see the winners click here)
8) Lucky I didn’t miss the Singapore Idol top 13 spectaculars as it was not shown last week.
Singapore Idol is on today though and I will definitely be watching it and rooting for my favourites, Mae Sta and Syltra Lee. Just found out that MJ Kwok is gone and cute 7 eleven girl Nurul replaced him.
9) Got someone to remove a dunno what insect hive outside my house.
For people like me who stay in HDB flats and have hives outside their houses, call your local Town Council for assistance. It’s fast and free =) Thank you Pest Control.
10) I went to Timbre @ Arts House for my sister and classmates after exams celebrations.
Went to Movida at St James after Timbre and saw lots of Ferraris along the way and outside the club. I didn’t bring my camera along, damn wasted sia. We used Wayne’s phone to take some pics as my iPhone cam sucks. Hope to get the pics from him soon. =)
Stuff I will be blogging about very soon …
1) A 7 part series about my Perth holiday! Lots of pics will be uploaded but do not expect to see 1000+ photos he he
2) Part C1 of my 7 part End of School Life Special
3) Misc here and there stuff
I don’t think I will be blogging about my “Expert” Singapore Idol predictions anymore. Feeling a little lazy =P. I will be giving my predictions on my Facebook and Twitter instead. For those who want to see if I’m right or wrong and scold me for my wrong predictions, you can add me he he. Cheers.
1st part of the Perth Holiday series coming soon!

Blog Update: The 5 Sections of boliaosia.com
After organizing my blog, which actually only involves the updating of the navigation header thingy, I decided to make a few other changes heh. Now, let me go through with you what changes I made and explain to you what the 5 sections of my blog are. =)
Firstly, this is a screenshot of boliaosia.com before the changes …
(Before Change) The navigation bar is really random and unorganized which make exploring the site difficult. I’m sian of the blog header and some icons too. So I changed ……
This is a screenshot after the changes ...
(After Change!) I have made 4 changes to my blog, all having minimal impact in terms of the look and feel of the site i.e. minor changes lol. What did I change?
Change 1: New Blog Header
Every now and then, I tend to switch the template of my blog so satisfy my need for change. However, I actually like this template a lot (plus I’m getting lazier), so this time and maybe in the future, I will only change the blog header and make some other minor changes …. unless I can pay some pro to revamp the site heh.
If you didn’t notice or you are a first time visitor, here is my old header…
I got bored of that and changed it to the current one …
Made the “Boliaosia.com” a little more 3D with some stickmen around it, and added a background to the header. I know it’s very “act cute” … sorry I can’t help it. I am a very act cute person even at this stage of my life. My maneki neko aka Zao Chai Mao aka lucky cat is still there ha ha, it welcomes you now okay.
Change 2: The 5 Sections + Others in the Navigation Bar below the header
This is the main reason why I updated my blog template. Previously, the navigation bar thingy did not reflect the 5 sections of my blog. I’m sure that because of this, readers of my blog (if any lol) would not realise that I actually have 5 distinct sections in Boliaosia.com. I created these sections when I returned to blogging in January this year after a 2 and a half years break. This is my way of making my random posts as “unrandom” as possible. The posts are still random though, it just randomly appears in either of the sections. There is no fixed schedule on when I update each section; it all depends on what I feel like blogging about lol. Although I am random, I still like to keep things a little more organized besides using the labels on the bottom right hand side of my blog.
Here are the 5 sections ….
It’s pretty obvious that all my posts has a blackboard below the header illustrating what the post is about, but if you examine it closer, you will realise that each of the blackboards has a distinct layout inside, depending on the section the post is in. For example, the “My Bo Liao Life” blackboard has a stickman and a speech bubble and the “Random Videos” blackboard has TV. Don’t ask me why the “Entertainment” and “News/Articles” blackboard looks similar. it’s just the way it is. The pics above are just templates; actual posts have additional pics and text on them. I included the “Blog Update” section in others as I do not update it as often as the rest despite my itchy tampering hands.
Let me introduce each section 1 by 1 …
1) My Bo Liao Life

2) Random Videos

3) Entertainment

4) News/Articles

5) My iPhone

Change 3: Changed RSS feed and Twitter icon
I changed the icons to blend in with the overall blog design.
Change 4: Please Vote!
Okay, this is not an update but a reminder for you to vote ha ha! For those who have been voting for me, thanks a lot!! For those who have not, find out how and why you should vote here: Miracle I’m in the Singapore Blog Awards Final. Vote for good luck! That’s my voting campaign slogan lol. You can vote once a day, every day, till 31 July 2009! Oh ya there are prizes to be won for voters too! =)
To see my interview over at Omy’s site which includes lot of crap, click here.
There is a mistake in one of the interview answers they posted. The answer for the 3rd question should be: "Shocked! For more go to (a link on my blog). Chances of winning? 10% (too much?)"
I think they don’t allow me to shamelessly influence people to click on the link to go to my blog lol.
Okay that’s all for my Blog Update today. Hope you know more about the 5 sections now. I have just created a Facebook fan page for boliaosia.com for fun. It is not complete yet (trying to figure out how to use it!) and has one fan at the moment (me!). If you want to be a fan, go to the boliasia.com Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Boliaosiacom-My-Very-Random-Posts/104971412356 !! If you have a fan page too, I will become your fan! ... just leave me a comment after adding. =)
Will add the Facebook link icon beside the RSS feed and Twitter icon soon after this post.
Explore the 5 sections now!!
Add my RSS feeds and Twitter okay. Support support a bit. =)
P.S: Will force some of my friends to join the fan page so that I will have at least 10 fans and not be so pai sei. =)
P.S 2: I made some minor changes before this but didn’t blog about it as I was lazy.

Change of Blog Templete Completed
I have finally managed to successfully change to a new template! This template is actually not my first choice though .... I realized that my html skills suck and struggled to successfully transfer everything to that template. It would look damn chio if I managed to use it properly but the new template I'm using now, my second choice ain't too shabby either. At least I think it looks much better than my previous one. It neater, sleeker and looks more professional heh.If you missed my previous template, this is how it looks...
Sorry for the edit icons in the pic. I wanted to screen shot the normal version but it was too late. I thought I could just upload the old code I saved previously and publish again, but after I did that it site appeared weird so this is the best pic I have for my old template :(New things included in this template:
1) Top header links
2) Home button at the "header links" which links to the homepage
3) About Me button at the "header links" which links to my blogger profile
4) Subscribe to posts and comments at the "header links" for easy subscription
5) Recent Post and Comments section right at the bottom of the page
6) Link exchanges at the "header links" if you want to exchange links
Hope you like the new template, I certainly do!

Bad habits die hard
My rather bad habit of changing templates has struck again! I'm going to change the template of my blog very soon. I have already decided on the template and I think its going to be much better than the current one ... can't wait to publish my blog with the new template! =) The change should happen within this week if everything goes well and I do not have extra stuff to do. Stay tuned!!Hope this picture can make up for the lack of words in this post and the thought that the post might be an emo one, saying how I hate myself etc etc =)
