Hello. Once again ..... It's time for some random Japanese videos!
Recently, lots of my friends have been sharing really interesting videos in Facebook and some of them are Japanese. Sticking to the Japanese theme …. My Sakae Sushi adventure continues!! Armed with my new Sakae Sushi card with Sakae dollars inside, I recently ate Sakae Sushi not once, not twice but three freaking times!!!
Round 1 was with my mum at Sakae Sushi Suntec …
Because of the significant amount of Sakae dollars I had, I didn’t care about the price of the food we ordered. I just asked my mother to order anything she wanted and I did the same thing too he he. We didn’t get much sushi this time round, leaving our stomachs to be filled by the food items on the menu. First thing we ordered was Chawanmushi (a must!), then my mother ordered one of the ramen (I forgot which one sorry!) and I ordered a Yokubari Gozen bento set (nice) ... We also ordered some sushi, Soft Shell Crabs, Shisamos, Unagi Tofu and a Dragon Roll. I think the staff there must be thinking we are mad lol. We tried our best to finish all the delicious food (except for the weird tasting Dragon Roll) and almost managed to finish all. We could hardly walk after that lol. Next round was at Sakae Sushi Wheelock Place after my Sakae Card was recharged …
This time I went with my sis after attending an IR career talk (still looking for that perfect job by the way).
Like my mom, I told my sister to order anything she wanted he he without caring about the price. As usual, we ordered chawanmushi to kick start the eating session. Because I love it the last time I ate it with my mum, I orderd the Yokubari Gozen bento again! Lol. My sister ordered Sukiyaki and we also had some sushi. I really like the Sukiyaki soup man, damn shiok.
We ended our meal with some Mochi Ice Cream for dessert but I got a shock when I was about to ask for the bill. I realized that I forgot to bring my Sakae Card!! I tried asking them if I could use my IC number or the Sakae card number but they said they needed to swipe the card …. Oh man. Luckily we didn’t order as much as Round 1 and my sis brought her credit card. It was supposed to be my treat and I was proudly asking her to choose whatever she wants, but she ended up paying for the meal lol. I have already promised her that I will pass her my Sakae card the next time she plans to visit a Sakae restaurant and she could use up all the Sakae dollars for that month he he. Sorry sis!
Moral of the story: If you want to hao lian, please double check to make sure you are able to. Malu lah me. 2 Rounds of Sakae Sushi is not enough, so I went for a third round!
Unfortunately, I can’t use my Sakae dollars for Sakae food delivery but that didn’t stop me from ordering food from that cute little green frog. Last Saturday, Donald came over to my house to play some Guitar Heroes 5 (just bought!) and my sister had a group project meeting at my house (aka the project house). We ordered a Yume party tray (containing lots of sushi), a Terriyaki chicken pizza, one of the donburi(for Donald) aaaaaaannnnnddddddd some Chawanmushi of course. Everyone were satisfied with their food and Donald and I proceeded with our “disturb the project group meeting guitar heroes session”. Lets rock!!
More Sakae Sushi adventures next time, when my card is refilled =P I ♥ Sakae Sushi!!
Back to random videos: I think in the future, instead of sharing just Japanese videos in a single post. I will gather interesting videos I see on Facebook from whatever country and post them once in a while. There are so many interesting videos my friends are sharing and I'm sure you will like them. Funny, touching, educational, cool etc etc so many kinds of videos on Facebook nowadays from friends who love to share. =) I shall call the posts ....Random Facebook Videos!!
I'm really looking forward to 9th August because Singapore Idol is finally coming back after a long absence!! Oh ya, its also Singapore's 44th birthday i.e its National Day again! To show my love, I have actually changed my blog header to the special national day edition around 2 weeks ago! If you haven't noticed or its your first time here, let me show you the difference!

We all know that almost every year, we have a new National Day song, and this year's new national day song is called by What Do You See by local band Electrico. National Day songs are usually very catchy and easy to sing along, but this year's one is a little different and I love it! Its a song that I would put in my iPhone together with my other non NDP songs ha.
I remember in the past when I was in primary school, we would all have song books with national day songs included to practice. Its been a long time since I have seen that little book and I have forgotten the lyrics to most of the songs. Lucky for me and students in this high tech world, we have something called youtube and now you can sing along to the music videos anytime you want.

Back in sunny Singapore, cute little 4 year old Charmaine, was diagnosed with 4th stage neuroblastoma on 13th Fubruary 2009. She has 10 to 20% chance of living if she seeks local treatment. However, if she seeks treatment in New York, she has a 40 to 50% chance of living, which is significantly higher.

Singapore's largest annual cosplay event, Cosfest VIII: A Very Happy Event, was held at Downtown East over the weekend. The festival attracted a crowd of 16,000 – 400 of whom were in costumes based on anime (Japanese cartoon) or manga (Japanese comics) characters.
Winners will represent Singapore at the annual World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, Japan, later this month.
I’m not a cosplayer, but I like looking as cosplay pictures and videos every once in a while, especially those by cute looking girls he he. Here are videos of the Cosfest VIII at Downtown East from Razor TV. Some of the characters at this cosplay event I can recognize as I have watched the animes or played the games before, others which I can’t recognise are nice to look at too. We all know that the Japanese are very creative, funny and sometimes crazy. These traits are certainly shown in the entertainment industry with all the wacky variety shows, mtvs, games, music, movies and ahem pron etc etc. There are so many interesting LOL videos that I can't possibly squeeze into one post. So from today onwards, I shall post some random videos from the land of the rising sun every once in awhile. I've got a feeling that the list of interesting videos from Japan will continue to grow and grow heh. Old or new videos, as long as they are funny I will post. Today should be the first of many posts of random Japanese videos, it's amazing that despite my love for anything Japan, I have not posted a single funny Japanese video. Microsoft just showed off its new controller at E3 ...
Microsoft has unveiled its new control system for the Xbox 360 console, at E3 in Los Angeles.
Project Natal is a fully hands-free control system that will use face recognition and motion sensors to allow users to play games.
Film director Steven Spielberg, attending the launch, said it was "a window into what the future holds".
Although still in the early stages, Microsoft has sent prototypes to all the main game developers.
Speaking to the BBC, Mr Spielberg said he had always stated that "the main barrier stopping people getting into video games was the complexity of a games controller," and that Natal was "a whole new world".
"There is technology now that recognises not just your thumb, it recognises your entire person. The technology knows who you are," he said.
Mr Spielberg drew an analogy with the film industry, saying it was evolutionary step for games.
"It's like the square screen we saw all of our movies on in the early 1950s. Then The Robe came out in Cinemascope. And then came CinRam and Imax followed. That's what [Natal] is.
Oh my god, this new controller is amazing! We are having Minority Report technology before the year 2054! Why did I sell my Xbox 360!! I think I'm going to buy another Xbox 360 when this comes out. With future controllers all requiring you to move your body, I think gamers will become healthier in the future.
Healthy Gaming is in. No more overweight gamers!!
P.S: I wonder if the voice recognition system recognizes my Singlish accent. I have to try to slang when I tried to say/type out the words on Microsoft Word heh.

I love playing games and played lots of Maple Story in the past, so I decided to go to the fair to take a look. Knowing that the event was going to have cosplayers gave me extra motivation to go there heh. So on Saturday, I forced my group mates who were going to do our group project in my house to stopover there before heading to my house. I was excited, I wanted to take many photos of cosplayers and post it here, but at the end of the day, I can only post one photo lol. Notice that the title of this post is "Licence 2 Play Cosplay Pic and Videos" and not Cosplay Pics ha ha. If you were expecting to see lots of pictures here, pai sei .... tricked ya!
Anyway here is the only clear picture I have out of the 5 pictures I took lol ... but there is a boy blocking the girl .... I must be the lousiest photographer ever!

Reason (ahem excuse) for only having one picture: When we reached the License 2 Play fair, it seems like most of the cosplayers were having a break. Though there were still quite a few of them around I felt a little pai sei to take their pictures as the other guys taking seemed so pro with their big ass DSLR cameras. I only had a normal digital camera which I borrowed from Shawn and was a little reluctant while being surrounded by professional looking photographers lol. You know it's something like going to a gun fight with a sword or driving a shitty car in a car race against super cars. It's not like I'm Takumi from Initial D.
The cosplayers probably prefer to pose for those carrying the pro looking cameras anyway as they will look better in the photos (you spend so much on your camera, sure at least have some standard right he he) and maybe some of the photographers are from the media heh. So at the end, I only took 5 pictures, all of them taken without the presence of pro photographers. It was at an Asiasoft event where most of the people around were kids.

Check out this video of a sexy model who fell on her butt while strutting down the runway. She must have felt very pai seh ha ha. She did well to recover though, receiving a loud cheer from the crowd.
Lucky she was gracious about it. If she were to be angry and scold the people in charge of keeping the floor dry, it would just add to her embarrassment.
