The growth of my Tampines 1 magic bean

Last last week I wrote about getting a Tampines 1 magic bean after spending a certain amount at Tampines 1. 111 magic beans contained vouchers with values of either $10, $100 or $1,000. Was I want of the lucky 111 shoppers? Let's see the growth of my very own Tampines 1 magic bean. =)

Day 1 - 3
It looked exactly the same as the first day I got it i.e Nothing! I watered the magic bean everyday and placed it somewhere where there was sunlight but nothing happened. I thought that either I did something wrongly or the magic bean was no bean from Jack and the beanstalk. I was about to give up until something happened the next day.

Day 4
Something grew out! I was surprised that it has grown quite a lot the next day after it was missing in action for 3 days. It looks like a giant beansprout he he.

Day 5Wow its taller now,and the shell protection thingy is coming off.

Day 6
The shell protection thingy has come off and the head of the magic plant is splitting, revealing a leaf.

Day 7
The head of the beansprout has fully split and we can now see 2 leafs!

Day 8 - The day I find out what won.
After 8 days, I could finally see what I won .... I won nothing! I think the amount of the prize is supposed to be engraved on the head, since I got Tampines 1, it means i got nothing lol. I think Tampines 1 should put the words "Sorry, better luck next time" instead, because now I feel disappointed seeing the words "Tampines 1". =(

Anywayz, since it has grown quite a lot, I might as well continue to grow it and see how high it grow to. Lets continue with the growth of the magic plant. The show must go on.

Day 9 & 10
It has grown even higher and the leafs are bigger now.

Day 11 & 12
Oh my god, within 2 days, it has grown so much! It's so tall and the leafs are huge!

Now ...It is so big now that I have to use a chopstick to keep it upright he he. It really is a magic plant.

The best scenario would be for me the blog about the growth of the magic plant which contained the $1,000 voucher, but it was not meant to be heh. I didn't even get a single cent. But .... since I have already taken pictures, I might as well post it he he, don't waste.

Better Luck Next Time!

My Tampines 1 magic bean

Yesterday, I went to the very nice and green Tampines 1 for dinner and some shopping with my mom. We bought a polo tee and shirt for my father's birthday and went to eat at Manpuku Japanese Gourmet Town which is some sort of a Japanese Marche. Same style but all Japanese food with Japanese song playing in the background. I love the place! My mother ordered the Moonlight Special Okos and I ordered the Mochi Cheese Okos. Both are damn shiok .. will go there again next time to try out other food. (Sorry for the blur pics from my iPhone which doesn't do the food any justice he he)

After eating I also bought myself a ps3 game "UFC Undisputed 2009". I played the game for awhile today and so far it seems like a good game. Will try the career mode later. For people who like mixed martial arts (which is unlike your fake wwe wrestling) I think you will like this game.
So total amount we spent was around $200 which entitled us to get a free Uniqlo bag and one magic bean!
Free Uniqlo bag
The can containing the Magic BeanInstructions

In the can there are also instructions stating that I should water the magic bean and leave it under the sun for 3 to 5 days before it will grow to a magic plant! There will be 111 lucky winners who will get $10, $100 and $1000 vouchers. Hope I one of the lucky 111. Even if I get $10 also shiok. But of course if I get $1000 then super shiok can go shopping spree weeee. More food from Manpuku and maybe some working clothes for my future working life =)
This is how my magic plant looks like now. How will it look like in 5 days time? Will I get the $1000 voucher? Stay tuned to find out!!

Happy Birthday Dad!

P.S: I love Tampines! Tampines One, Tampines Mall and Century Square is just a few stops away from my house! Hope I can work around that area in the future. I have everything I need there and I can save on transport!
