I work I Intro I play I Eat

Hello there ... I'm back from my break from blogging due to work and play. It’s been a really busy past few months …. I have extra OT stuff to do at work, and at home, I need to help my father (and sometimes mother) with stuff and also need to tutor Miss O, my gf. I don't have much alone time to do my stuff, hence the lack of blog posts. I don’t even have enough time to watch my favourite local TV series, Fighting Spiders 2 :( … time for some catch-up TV on MSN or maybe mobtv on Mio (yes, I subscribed it for the English Premier league ....) when I have the time. Watching live Newcastle United matches is something I can’t live without, so that I will always find some time to watch he he. Singtel’s tv connection is not so fantastic though …

Luckily there is a long weekend this week due to (holiday) and I have some extra time to blog, just in time to tell you about this really exciting event coming up in a few weeks time ….

My previous workplace, Marina Bay Sands is going to have 2 really fine clubs opening next year at one of the crystal pavilion, and the iconic Avalon, one of the clubs (all the way from Hollywood) is going to have an event this month during the F1 Singapore Grand Prix!!

The event called GO!, which kick starts a series of events in anticipation of the grand opening will feature world famous DJs and acclaimed music performances, against the backdrop of artwork created by cutting-edge visual artists.

Are you excited?? I certainly am!! I’m really looking forward to this event and the opening of the 2 new clubs.

This is where you will be drinking and dancing at in 2011….

Shiok right?? Can’t wait for it to open ah!!!

I do not have much time to club these days but when I do, I would certainly make this one of my top destinations to club. =) I love what the 2 IRs (Integrated Resorts) are bringing to Singapore, casinos and all.

Speaking of IRs …

Despite my busy schedule, I also go out and have fun lah … but mostly (okay maybe all) with Miss O. Recently, we went to Universal Studious at the other IR, Resorts World Sentosa and had a great time there. It was actually my third time there (the previous 2 were trips to the casino :p).

It would be a waste not to go Universal studious when it is situated at your country right? No need to take expensive air tickets to other countries he he. Really good for cheapos and poor guys like me. Feel so proud looking at the Universal Studios globe right here in sunny Singapore. I think I felt a tear coming out from my eye when I stared at the globe for the first time ha ha. Taking a picture there is a must I think, and you don’t need to pay tickets to have a pic taken with the globe as it is situated outside he he.

Once you are inside, it’s like you are in a different world. Everywhere is so movie like with so many nice spots to take pictures. There are also lots of themed rides, shops and places to eat. There are 6 themed locations there … New York, Hollywood, Land of Far Far Away, The Lost World Jurassic Park, Madagascar, Sci-Fi City, and Ancient Egypt. All of themed are unique and will look familiar to movie lovers.

We explored the different location, tried the rides, shopped a little and ate a little (with the free voucher given along with the tickets). My favourite locations are Ancient Egypt and Land of Far Far Away. Both of them have the better attractions at the moment I think. I was a little disappointed with Madagascar and Sci-Fi City as the main rides were not available (although I’m not sure if I dare to ride the Battlestar Galactica at Sci-Fi city, the world’s tallest pair of dueling roller coasters :p).

There is more I can write about my trip but I think you should go there and explore the place for yourself (plus I’m getting a little sleepy already). There is one very important thing I have to tell you though …. Please bring along sunscreen and an umbrella when you are there …. Its super hot (stupid Singapore weather)!!! Will I go there again? Definitely…. but until more rides are available.

Now …

back to life at home …

and my Sakae Sushi Adventures!

As I have been busy these days, and do not go out as often as before (besides work), plus no one cooks at home, I order lots of home delivery for lunch and dinner. Besides the usual, McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut, I also order home delivery from other restaurants. Maybe I can make a list for home delivery I order in the future ….

For a healthier choice, sometimes we order Sakae Sushi. It’s less sinful (I think), although a little more costly.

For Sakae Sushi, we usually order either the bentos or the party tray which comes with lots of sushi and wasabi and soy sauce and wet tissues and chopsticks. Recently they also have some new menu items …

We tried 4 of the 6 new items (most with rather cute names) … Sakaelicious Cha Soba bento, Sugoi Crispy bento, premium sushi set and Chirpy Katsu bento. I ate the Chirpy Katsu bento which was really nice and my sis, mum and miss O ate the other 3. The new menu items are welcomed as we were actually quite sian of ordering the same old bentos over and over again. Do try it if you haven already done so :)

Check out the new items at http://www.sakaedelivery.com/newitems.html

Okay ..

I’m feeling really tired now. Time for some rest. It’s back to work tomorrow after the long weekend. Now I have to work at 2 different locations throughout the week, every week …. Sian ahhhh. Hopefully, there is less work to do soon (fat hope).

When is the next holiday ah?

Oh yah, I bought an Ipad recently to pamper myself after working so hard he he. More about that next time :P I use for work and play and love it so much.

Blogged from My iPad pad

Joking lah … I still use my computer for some stuff.

P.S: Sian ah ... it seems like some of my images are not appearing in my previous posts ... my blog logo also gone :( .... hope it appears soon.
